Some synths were more complex than 8-bit but I guess it works.

Alright.

The synths are nice enough, but you need to work on your transitions.
It feels like it's just jumping from one track to another with no real melody or way to follow it.

You need more than just a melodic bassline, something to help even out that ratio or something.

The pads are nice, and like you said, effects, mastering, blah blah.

Try experimenting with sidechaining.

Enjoyed it I did.

Not sure how to communicate what I'm feeling when I hear this. Simple but eloquent, passionate but not overemotional, driving but not overpowering.

Your strings and piano have captured a spot in my memory as a brilliant composer who is overlooked.

This is why I listen to so much classical. I really hope one day I acquire the skill and talent equal to yours. I can't say how happy I am to see you back.

Don't be so critical of your voice. Better yours and how you really put everything you have into something than that empty feeling of words just being spoken in tune. Nothing compares with touching several people to the heart, not even just having an appealing sound.

Your lyrics forces me to stop dwelling on the simple piano I usually found in your pieces.
I really don't know what to say, other than mentioning the fact that this is one of the truly "emotionally moving" songs I've heard, ever.
Listening to this makes me want to just run out my door instead of spending all my time on this chair like I usually do, and live life to the fullest, like we're all going to die the next second.

How did you find your inspiration? I spend all day having haunting melodies fill up in my head, but when I get to my keyboard, it all leaks away. This captures everything I think of when reflecting on my disappointing life, all alone, stuck in my head. Which makes me ask, if you thought the same way when you wrote this.

Sort of spent a while now picking at your lyrics in specefic. Rolling around what you sang in my head over and over, I feel as though I should credit you for any song I ever do decide to share with people.

Determined to make the most of this space.
The guitar solo in my humble opinion wasn't necessary to make this song "complete" but it was a nice touch.

I can't find any criticism. If anyone has anything negative to say, they are probrably just bitter over their misinterpretation of what you tried to get across. Easily 10/10. Waiting on the edge of my seat to see how else you will just continue to amaze me every time I check your song list.

I'm glad to be back my friend... it's such a relief to be writing music for you guys again.

My voice will come into it's own over time... I won't dwell on it too much for now ;).

You say you spend the day filling your head with haunting melodies and then come at a loss when you get to the keyboard...? Don't worry... I do that all the time. My main solution to this problem is writing about things that I think about everyday... things that greatly affect my life and my moods. Such as the constant loss of youth... and of all the opportunities I have missed and could be missing. It's an important subject and very dear to my heart. The music came naturally... the lyrics came from my world.

People will naturally have negative things to say about this piece... heck even I have negative things to say about it. But I am satisfied... and others are as well... and this is all that matters.

Did you record the acoustic guitar yourself? I can hear the strings scratching.

Well composed. Like others mentioned, it reminds me of video games when I listen to it.

A little more diversity couldn't hurt, it felt a bit like the same progression of strings, and chords over and over.

Yes I did play the acoustic guitar myself. And yea the progression was a little redundant. But this was a just a "test run" i guess you would say. lol. The final version will be much more entertaining and will be released once I have time to work on it. Great ear btw.

I haven't heard the original, but I like what I'm hearing.
Although in the first 40 seconds you had some discordant chords, I liked how it changed after the break.
It came back again at the end, which sort of threw it back off :X

I suppose words can't describe how I think of it. I like it, quite a lot.

Also : You really should fix the piano EQ. It sounds too diffused, in a way.

You really captured the feeling of motivation and willpower in this one. Congratulations at top of Classical.
Pleasant melody for once in a driving song that wasn't overpowered. The chimes and strings fit well together.
The guitar and overused drum beat rather disappointed me, however.

Thanks for the positive opinion and review. By the drums do you mean the snares? It was necessary to put in so much to give the song a march feeling:/ As for the guitar... yes, I know it's crappy but it's the best I had found. Reason doesn't have a single decent rock guitar! I'm trying to find some guitar refills, but I haven't been succesful yet.

I like how the strings complement the simple piano, although I don't see how the title fits in too closely with this song.
Simple melody, not much to comment about.
